a couple of things
- working from home today so i can attend a coworker’s baby shower in our jersey office. just didn’t make sense to go to work in the city this morning, b/c i’d have to come back into the city to be able to get home, and that’s clearly just ridiculous.
- working from home when harley isn’t around means i can actually get some work done, so that’s novel. plus i honestly am not sure if i’ve been alone in the house in the last two years and it’s a pretty wild (QUIET!) feeling.
- our contractor just stopped by to pick up the drawings and drop off some documents we need. this project is moving at a snail’s pace already but i am still really, really excited. as of this moment, it looks like the work won’t begin before the end of this year, but that does free us up to have a low-key bday party for harley in her own house, which i’m thrilled about.
- after my coworker’s baby shower, i’m heading home to end my day early, pick up harley and then greg (who is currently car-less … add ‘buying a new car’ to the stuff we’ve got going on in 2012… uf!) and going to a checkup with my doctor. i have some things i’m anxious to tell him about, like this very strong suspicion i have that i’m going to go into labor any day now (i swear i didn’t feel like this last time).
- this morning while i took h to day care, my dog got into the pantry and ate almost an entire box of macaroni & cheese - including the powder. and i can’t find the little bag the powder came in. i’m sure he’s feeling just lovely right now.
