what a week last week!

on wednesday morning i still didn’t feel better.
but i didn’t call the doctor yet because i thought that would be a bit reactionary.
except now it’s thursday afternoon, meaning i’ve been on medication now for close to 72 hours, and i still feel pretty much like i want to die.
and the chills are now back, and i should have taken advil at 12 but i forgot to bring it with...
flashback: 1991
in the summer of 1991, i was 10 going on 11, and i was spending my first weeks away from home at a sleepaway camp in honesdale, pa - camp cayuga.
it was my friend mindy who convinced me i haaaaad to come to her camp. she was probably my best friend at the time (i think i kind of idolized her actually… i’m not exactly sure why, but she did have a pretty awesome barbie doll collection....

starting thursday, and continuing until the following weekend, we’ll be having the floors refinished (sanded, stained) and the main interior of the house (not the bedrooms) painted.

i’m SUUUUCH a wreck - chills, fever, can’t breathe, can’t swallow - the whole awesome package.
the dr told me the antibiotic will make me feel “100% better in 24 hours.”
so, i’m counting down…

i do miss cuddling up to my husband when i’m traveling for work…
but there’s really nothing quite like a king size hotel bed all to yourself.

saturday started out with good stuff: getting up early, playtime in pajamas (all of us), a great swim class, a relaxing few hours at a salon.
but then saturday threw at me: a cranky husband after a stupid misunderstanding argument with his dad, and a crying baby because greg was out with harley longer than originally planned and he hadn’t brought any food for her.

this morning as i was waking up, greg seemed to be in an extra big hurry to get ready. apparently he’d gotten a text from a coworker (who normally opens up the job site), that he was sick and couldn’t come in, so greg had to get there quickly.
and it fell on greg, because their boss is away visiting a relative (his brother i think?) in the hospital after a really bad motorcycle...

my thoughtful husband gifted me with a spa day for valentine’s day and i STILL haven’t used it.
this weekend i really want to take my totally unkempt self for a full day of cleaning-up but i have a question.
