i’ve been feeling a little checked-out at work and i really need to get back on top of things. which won’t be easy with the summer looming… my work ethic is weak.
I’m not convinced these double decker trains actually carry more people. And they’re annoying to move around in.

found out this morning - SUCH a better morning than yesterday omgggg - that we didn’t actually have a mortgage payment due in march, but we paid one anyway.
what a lovely, lovely surprise to open some mail from wells fargo and find a big fat mortgage refund check in my hands. that is suuuuch a huge relief.

7:20am - wake up, take a shower
7:40am - after shower, realize i feel totally ill. lie back down, set alarm for 8:10. thinking i can possibly still make the 8:52 train if i get up, put on the dress i already know i want to wear, and get out of the house.
8:30am - finally wake up, still feeling a little bleh. thinking i’ll take the 9:11 train that gets me in late-ish, but not...

I have finally (re-)instituted regular communication with my brother and I couldn’t be happier about it - now just to get him to relocate.
On my way back to work after a blissful 2 day hiatus spent playing with my 4 and 6 year old cousins. They are a haaaandful.
I went with skirt, tights, heels, and a cardigan. I’ve only been in here for five minutes and damn this is unpleasant.
