pretty much any day now
i have only 9 days (after today) left in the office, and then 3 more working from home, but i am already so mentally checked out.
and this is a relatively huge problem b/c i am so not prepared to leave things as they are. i feel like i have 3 months worth of work to do in the next 12 business days.
(and right now i’m obviously wasting precious minutes of today not doing work.)
i...
a teaser...
yesterday my amazing friend lauren came over and painted a mural in our baby girl’s room!! while she was working away, greg went out shopping w/ his parents for some finishing touches for the room - a rug, a lamp, some extra storage for the closet - and now the room is JUST. ABOUT. DONE.
on saturday we spent about 4 hours in babies r us (omg that’s about 3 hrs too long, by the way)...
I hate feeling as useless as I do, but I’m so lucky I have a husband who is so helpful and willing to take on every little thing. What a guy
I don’t think I’ll be able to give up XM Radio after the free trial. The 90s on 9 and Jam On channels make my life!!
37weeks is considered full term. So that means Baby is fully cooked today! Couldn’t have planned the T-giving ref better if we’d tried ;-)
Catching up on dancing with the stars. Last week derek and joanna danced to hallelujah!! One of our wedding songs :-) loved it
(Yea, I already know who won, but I still want to watch.)
Every Oct I remember how much I love kit kats and eat them nonstop for 2 months. By the following year, they’re a novelty all over again.
an important note to my parasite
hey darlin’
it’s been kind of awesome having you on board. i really do hope things have been nice and comfortable in there. for the most part you’ve been pretty easy on me, but now that you’re getting nice and chubby (which i’m sure will look just adorable on you), you’re making my life a little … ouchy.
ok, so here’s the thing - for the most...
Funny thing about being 8.5 months pregnant at your 10yr hs reunion? It makes you care a LOT less about what to wear. So there’s that.
New idea for baby’s room - random stripes!! Totally courtesy of @younghouselove. Showed the blog to G tonight - he loves you guys, too!!
Why do some of my tweets just not show up? Very annoying. I’m crabby right now. Tired. Need to be home. Uncomfortable. Loud passengers. Ugh.
On the train with 2 LOUD families. Something like 6 children I tink. Arrrgghhhh.
Our nursery...or lack thereof
georgiegirlnyc:
I can’t help but feel a wee bit stressed out when I see pictures of other pregnant people’s fully completed nurseries.
I have nothing in my nursery. I don’t even really have a nursery.
We’ve decided to keep our guest room / office mostly as it is for for the first 3 - 6 months of Baby Girl’s life in order to accommodate the grandparents (and anyone else) who will be visiting....
yaaaawn
feel like i got run over by a truck.
i am sooo tired today.
stayed at work til 9pm last night, working on a few important things, but mostly my overdue expense report. ugh… that is NOT any fun. and it means i have nobody to blame but me that i was stuck here late.
i’m starting to feel very stressed about tying up loose ends, training the person who is going to fill in for me, and...
new car!!
yep, we did it.
we became completely suburban-ified this weekend. i’m pretty freakin excited though. the car is really comfortable and easy to drive, even though i’ve never driven anything so big. but i made sure i was used to it enough before we decided to pull the trigger. i test drove it 2 separate times and for a decent amount of time, i think.
anyway, that was our...
so, the garage that we cleaned out soooo well …
didn’t really last long, unfortunately.
after the yard sale (the following weekend) ended, unfortunately about 80% of our stuff was still hanging around. it all got brought back INTO the garage, and in a far less orderly fashion than it had been in when we were getting *ready* for the yard sale.
well tonight i finally went through all...
on november 20th, i am thankful for:
emilyinternet:
vodka martinis, cranberry salsa, beet and carrot soup, pot pie samosas, organic steamed brussels sprouts, pumpkin cream ravioli, sage and chive stuffing, and caramelized pecan and apple cake with pumpkin ice cream. and a fabulous group of girlfriends to share this thanksgiving-ish dinner with.
damn that sounds good!!
Brotherly visit! A couple of hours playing tv scene it and wii fit plus. Good times
36 weeks!!
so much has happened in the world of pregnant judi in the last week or so!
we completed our “prepared childbirth” class. we learned some breathing techniques for labor (which actually came in handy as i was getting myself all worked up (for no good reason, it should be noted) while we were waiting in the doctor’s office this morning), and we got a full tour of the...
family planning
i admit, i’m honestly not sure if greg and i ever talked about adoption very seriously before.
it’s a subject i’ve put a good amount of thought into on my own, though. i have actually thought at various times in my life that i was sure i would only adopt to build my family.
obviously, things have changed slightly. i am now pregnant with a child of our own and i couldn’t...
Met a really nice couple in the infant CPR class! She’s due one day after me, and they both went to Michigan State. We’re excited!!
Amazing, terrific, fantastic surprise! My bro just texted me to grab lunch! He’s heeeere :-)
[ redacted] is in her hospital bed, dilated 3cm before started the “pit” and 70%...
– Ok this one clearly plans on liveblogging her spawns birth on facebook. Ugh
And what the fuck happens when you “pit”!? I’m not sure I want/need to know.
(via allthingsalishan)
“pit” is the drug pitocin, which is the man-made form of oxytocin, the hormone your body naturally produces...
I'm going to Seattle!
needtherapy:
Tomorrow. For vacation. Yay!
If anyone has any great suggestions of things to do (preferably things that don’t involve hiking), please do share.
check out the five point cafe (especially if you’ve been drinking). amaaaazing burger, and great pancakes too. amusingly obnoxious waitstaff.
Tomorrow night we learn infant and child CPR so we can be rockstar parents! Wahoo!!
I’ve been going into work earlier and leaving later. I do not like this math.
Our friends are in NZ for their honeymoon, almost exactly 3yrs after ours. Oh man, I wish we could be back there right now!!
The little one is really, really on the move. Does this mean anything for my due date (earlier, later)? Or does it mean nothing at all?
definitely evil tuesday
and not even b/c i’m in a bad mood, b/c i’m really not at all.
but b/c i’m in a really insane amount of pain. i don’t know what or why but i have this absolutely excruciating pain radiating out of my chest/rib cage area, and it’s just horrendous. i can’t focus, and i can’t get anything done.
i’m supposed to be training the girl who is going to be...

it’s true!! one of my best friends and i started talking b/c she commented on my red patent leather mary janes on the first day of high school. :-P we still talk about it, and everytime i see red mary janes, i think of her.
Evil Tuesday
mikhailovna:
Since it seems to be affecting more people than ever, including myself, I will be your personal ray of sunshine today.
Stay tuned.
wow, weird. is evil tuesday really going around today? it definitely seems to exist in my office today.
well, at least we’re all in it together? :-\ bleh.
Here’s hoping for a better day of commuting. I’m wearing my very favorite yellow sweater so the day can’t be *too* terrible.
4hrs of commuting today. I know Hoboken might not be the very best solution for us, but I’m not sure I can deal with this either. I’m angry.
Hey, wanna hear something new and diferent? NJ TRANSIT IS AWFUUUUL. Grr.
Greeeeat. @EatDrinkHoboken is now (auto-)following me. Because I needed to be reminded of all I’m missing. Salt, meet wound.
Also today: sleeping in til noon(!), manicure, eyebrow wax, and coming up - leisurely getting ready for the fun wedding tonight.
Getting my hair blown out on a rainy-ish day. Hoping it doesn’t end up being the Worst Idea Ever (not to mention a waste of money).
greg's on his way uptown to pick me up!!
so excited. i’m not even sure why i’m this extra-excited for a weekend than normal but … i just am. yay!
t minus 3 hours!!
i’m actually very excited for this weekend’s festivities! we are going to the wedding of some great friends, which is sure to be a beautiful (and i bet more than a little glamorous) affair.
we head out of the city at 4pm to settle into our hotel before tonight’s rehearsal dinner at il mulino (which should be reeeeally tasty from what i hear).
tomorrow afternoon i intend to...
